It is not a “far-right” position to say that our borders should be defended and that those who enter our country illegally should not take priority over the citizens of this country. Democrats 20-30 years ago were united with us on this issue, but now they’ve become wedded to a leftist ideology that has no respect for borders. It’s sad, but that’s their business, not ours.
Our positions on illegal immigration have not changed. And we will continue to fight for Illinois communities that are feeling the effects of this issue. We are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws.
