** COVID-19: What We Are Doing To Help Keep Our Community Safe
------------------------------------------------------------

As a community nonprofit and direct service provider, the safety and well-being of the communities we serve is always our top priority, and in the wake of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) that commitment does not waver. The most effective protection against unnecessary panic and infection is making sure that we are seeking responsible and factual information from certified sources and consistently practicing healthy hygiene. Please note the following measures are being taken to ensure the safety of our community as all ACCESS offices remain fully operational at this time:
* All ACCESS facilities, including restrooms, will continue to be cleaned and disinfected - some multiple times daily, depending on building traffic - Monday through Friday, including weekend cleanings.
* All work areas and common spaces (entrances, doorknobs, chairs, tables, elevators, etc.) are being thoroughly sanitized and disinfected several times throughout the day.
* Informational and bilingual hygiene signage has been put up throughout our facilities and shared with both staff and clients.
* All ACCESS staff, volunteers, guests and clients are being asked to wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds throughout the day when necessary.
* We are asking that no one in our facilities engage in unnecessary physical contact (e.g. shaking hands, hugging).
* All staff who are displaying any symptoms or are feeling unwell are being asked to stay home.
* We are canceling and postponing all large, nonessential community meetings, events and gatherings.
* We ask that if you are exhibiting any symptoms, please stay home and call our clinic at 313-216-2230 for further assistance before coming in.
