Weekly Newsletter: We all know supporting our allies and protecting our border are critical priorities for the country. So why can’t Congress get both done in one fell swoop?

Hi John,

Will Congress accomplish anything by the end of this year? Let us know what you think.

If you need any more evidence that Congress is broken due to partisan politics, lawmakers provided it this week.

Yesterday, we saw a bipartisan deal to accomplish two essential priorities – providing aid to our allies in Israel and Ukraine and securing our border – fall apart.

There’s a need to address both priorities, and it makes sense to combine the two into one aid package. President Biden proposed a $106 billion aid package for Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan, and a bipartisan group of senators had been working on a deal to combine this aid with border fixes. But the devil is in the details, and the far right and far left could scuttle the deal as some Republicans push border changes Democrats can’t accept and some on the left refuse to consider any border policy changes at all.

There are plenty of issues Americans have real disagreements about, but almost everyone agrees that our border needs to be secured. Likewise, while extremists on the left oppose aid to Israel and extremists on the right block aid to Ukraine, most Americans firmly support our allies as they fight for their security and ours.

Last week, we asked you to evaluate Congress’s performance in 2023, giving them a grade between an A and an F. Guess what? Some 92 percent of you gave Congress D and F grades.

Now, we want to know: Do you think Congress will be able to get anything done by the end of the year?

Immigration, aid to our allies and a host of other issues will keep hanging over the heads of lawmakers into 2024. We have a broken budgeting system and a soaring national debt that could quash the American Dreams of our kids and grandkids. And as the world becomes a more dangerous place, our elected officials are happy to waste aways the days picking partisan fights.

We need to demand better of our leaders.

That's where No Labels comes in. We're growing because more people are fed up with the same old political games. That’s why over a million Americans have signed petitions to give No Labels ballot access in 2024. They see that this two-party tug-of-war isn't helping anyone. We need to stand together and show them there's another way.

Your support for No Labels is key. You're a part of the majority that wants commonsense solutions, not endless political battles. Let's keep the momentum going and light up a new path for America in 2024.

Thanks for being on this journey with us.

Warm regards,

Margaret White

Third-party advocate No Labels filed a trademark infringement suit in federal court against NoLabels.com, alleging the website “is attempting to rebrand No Labels and confuse the public about what the organization actually stands "No Labels is a non-profit organization “working to get on 2024 voting ballots in states across the country” that “may offer our ballot line to a Unity presidential ticket if the American people demand it,” according to its website.

Senator Joe Lieberman interviewed on Centerpoint ([link removed] )

By Trinity Broadcasting Network

“All we’re doing here, but it is a lot, is to try and qualify a third line in every state ballot in America. Which we can if we think it is constructive next year turn over to what we believe must be a bi-partisan unity ticket and we think it’s a moment of not only opportunity but real responsibility for us because as you said Joe, when you ask the American people do you want to make the choice between President Trump and Biden again? 60-70% say no give me a third choice. I think part of what they are saying is give me a third choice that is not going to be more of the same partisan politics. If we think that next year there is an opportunity here including not just to get out there but really to win as a third-party candidate and to be constructive and not to be a spoiler then No Labels will turn those lines we’re working hard to get on across America over to a bi-partisan ticket. And we might just make history.

No Labels is making history, and we want everyone to be part of our national movement! We're working hard to support a potential independent Unity presidential ticket in 2024. Establishment forces within the two major parties have already registered their objections to this project, but they're only displaying a disconnect with how the country feels. Our mission captures the pulse of what Americans say they want.  No Labels 101 is an introductory video by chief strategist Ryan Clancy about our work.
