In this Global Week of Action for Gaza, grassroots feminists are calling
out the hypocrisy of fossil fuel and war profiteers at the UN climate
conference in Dubai, while La Via Campesina’s 8th International
Conference in Bogotá honors the Arab and North African region. Meanwhile
in the U.S., TWO BILLS IN CONGRESS [3] set a dangerous precedent of
wrongfully equating anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism, an attack on both
Jewish people and Palestinian solidarity.
We want to share some events with you, including our TEACH-IN TODAY [2]
with Rising Majority on the destructive ramifications of the U.S. military
industrial complex and how we can organize to dismantle it:

LA VIA CAMPESINA 8TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE [5]

The 8th Conference of La Via Campesina International Peasants’ Movement
held an emotional mistica this past Sunday in Bogotá, Colombia, following
a PALESTINIAN SOLIDARITY MARCH [4] a few days prior. The mistica welcomed
new member organizations and officially incorporated the tenth region of La
Via Campesina: the Middle East and North Africa (ARNA).

GGJ organizers Siwatu-Salama Ra and Margaret Kwateng are participating in
this gathering, the highest decision-making body of the global peasant
movement, along with 500+ other delegates who are debating, studying, and
analyzing pressing issues together.

Military pollution and escalating wars are exacerbating global violence and
the impacts of the climate crisis. To achieve climate justice, we must
demilitarize our planet and center feminist solutions. This event uplifted
solidarity with Palestinians and our boycott of COP28, organized with

People worldwide are calling for a permanent ceasefire and mobilizing on
Saturday, December 9, the United Nations INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE
RECOGNITION OF AND PREVENTION OF GENOCIDE [8]. We join our Palestinian
members and allies to call for the immediate end of the U.S.-Israel siege
on Gaza.
While we BOYCOTTED [9] the United Nations climate conference and canceled
our delegation, allies on the ground at COP28 in Dubai are maintaining
solidarity by AMPLIFYING THE DEMAND [10] for a ceasefire. Follow our SOCIAL

En esta Semana de Acción Mundial por Gaza, les feministas de las bases
están denunciando la hipocresía de las especuladoras de fósiles
combustibles y la guerra en la conferencia climática de la ONU en Dubai,
mientras que la 8ª Conferencia Internacional de La Vía Campesina en
Bogotá rinde homenaje a la región árabe y de África del Norte. Mientras
tanto, en Estados Unidos, DOS PROYECTOS DE LEY EN EL CONGRESO [3] sientan
un peligroso precedente al equiparar erróneamente el antisionismo con el
antisemitismo, lo que es un ataque tanto al pueblo judío como a la
solidaridad Palestina.

La 8ª Conferencia del Movimiento Campesino Internacional La Vía Campesina
celebró una emotiva mística el domingo pasado en Bogotá, Colombia, tras
la MARCHA DE SOLIDARIDAD CON PALESTINA [13] llevada a cabo unos días
antes. La mística dio la bienvenida a nuevas organizaciones miembro e
incorporó oficialmente a la décima región de La Vía Campesina: el Medio
Oriente y Norte de África (MENA por sus siglas en inglés).

> mística de apertura. La tecnología de la oración, los cantos
> ancestrales, el arte de la danza, la justicia lingüística, todo ello

este encuentro, la máxima entidad decisoria del movimiento campesino

La contaminación militar y la intensificación de las guerras están
exacerbando la violencia global y los impactos de la crisis climática.
Para lograr justicia climática, debemos desmilitarizar nuestro planeta y
centrarnos en soluciones feministas. Este evento elevó la solidaridad con
los palestinos y nuestro boicot a la COP28, organizado con organizaciones

Gente de todo el mundo pide un alto al fuego permanente y se movilizarán
el sábado 9 de diciembre, el DÍA INTERNACIONAL DE LAS NACIONES UNIDAS
PARA EL RECONOCIMIENTO Y LA PREVENCIÓN DEL GENOCIDIO [8]. Nos unimos a
nuestros miembros y aliades palestines en pedir el fin inmediato al asedio
estadounidense-israelí en Gaza.
Aunque hemos BOICOTEADO [9] la conferencia climática de las Naciones
Unidas y cancelado nuestra delegación, nuestres aliades presentes en la
COP28 en Dubai mantienen su solidaridad AMPLIANDO LA DEMANDA [10] de alto
