It’s been a rough year for the House GOP. Let’s recap:
– McCarthy became Speaker after 14 rounds of voting.
– George Santos was exposed for being a fraud and a criminal.
– Marjorie Taylor Greene cursed out Lauren Boebert on the House floor.
– Matt Gaetz and fringe Republicans ousted Kevin McCarthy as Speaker, ending his tenure after just nine short months.
– Nine Republicans tried to replace him, but the GOP conference ultimately ended up choosing one of the MOST extreme Republicans, Mike Johnson.
– George Santos was EXPELLED last week, making him the SIXTH Member of Congress in history to be ousted.
– Just this week, Kevin McCarthy announced that he’d be RESIGNING at the end of the year.
– And John, this is just the tip of the iceberg: we’re sure we missed a few things.
We can expect more chaos in 2024, but there’s only one way to end it: by flipping just FIVE GOP-held seats and taking back the majority.
