Supporting Common Sense Gun Safety Measures
I am proud to lead over 160 of my colleagues with Senator Durbin in support of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF)'s new rule-strengthening background check requirements for gun sales. This proposal utilizes provisions in the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act to expand background check requirements for gun sellers not previously classified as a Federal Firearm Licensee (FFL). This rule will help prevent guns from falling into the wrong hands and make our communities safer. You can read my full letter HERE.
