Last weekend, I hosted the 5th Annual Congressional App Challenge ceremony to announce the winner of TX-31's competition. The App Challenge is a competition that encourages students to learn to code and create a unique app. This year, my office received 18 submissions, and the award-winning SkillsUSA team at Temple College served as judges. Congratulations to Texas' 31st district winner Aariv Modi, from Round Rock High School. His app, SpellSmart, helps students make practicing their spelling fun.
