Fun fact:
you probably know that the Declaration of Independence was signed in
Philadelphia in 1776, but did you also know that Philly was the capital of
the United States from 1790 to 1800?
I’m one of our Commonwealth’s number one fans, so there’s a lot more where
that came from.
Before I share, my Finance Director, Taylor, said that I can’t use this
email to only recite facts about Pennsylvania, no matter how much I might
want to. I should also ask folks to chip in to help me continue
representing the place I’ve always called home.

you chip in now to help me continue fighting for my fellow Pennsylvanians
in the U.S. Senate?
Now that’s out of the way, are you ready for some more facts?
Did you know that Pennsylvania’s Fayette County is home to Fort Necessity,
where George Washington experienced his first military combat in 1754?

Or that William Maclay — a member of Pennsylvania’s first United States
Senate delegation — kept a diary during his term, which became one of few
historical accounts of the 1st United States Congress?

Or here’s a fun one: the world’s first computer was built in Philadelphia
in 1946!

These are just a few of my favorite pieces of Pennsylvania
trivia.
I love the Commonwealth and its history. Just recently, my team challenged
me to name all 67 of our counties — and I did it in under 10 minutes.
[ [link removed] ]Now I’m hoping you’ll chip in $10 or more to support our re-election
fight. I’m Pennsylvania through and through, and I need your support to
keep making progress for our Commonwealth.
