When people hear that the dean of the Georgia congressional delegation is a Democratic Congressman from rural Georgia, they sometimes do a double take. Democrat? In rural Georgia?

It’s true. Not all Georgia Democrats in Congress are from the Atlanta area. Congressman Bishop proudly represents his constituents in Middle and Southwest Georgia — from the peanut farmers to the active duty service members.

He’s won re-election here because he truly listens to his constituents and works hard to represent their interests in Congress.
