The latest: Nine New Endorsements for 2024!
Yesterday, LGBTQ+ Victory Fund announced we’re endorsing nine more LGBTQ+ candidates running in 2024! That brings our total number of endorsements to 69 – and that number is only going to keep growing.
Evan Low – now running for the U.S. House – is already earning headlines for his campaign (which he just announced this week) [[link removed]] ! All Eyes on Texas: Houston Runoffs Are This Weekend!

Good News for Mondaire Jones: Opponent Bows Out
Former U.S. Congressman Mondaire Jones had good news recently: one of his main opponents has dropped out of the primary. Liz Whitmer Gereghty, sister of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, suspended her campaign [[link removed]] !
Mondaire is now able to focus on defeating incumbent U.S. Congressman Mike Lawler – and bring LGBTQ+ representation back to the Hudson Valley [[link removed]] .
Florida Rising: Carlos Guillermo Smith Raises $300K Since Launch
The breaking news updates from Florida have been bleak lately. Governor Ron DeSantis is seeking to expand the hated ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill into workplaces [[link removed]] , while Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is arguing the state has the right to remove pro-LGBTQ books from schools [[link removed]] .
But despite this harmful rhetoric, former state Representative Carlos Guillermo Smith, now running for state senate, has raised $300,000 since his campaign launch [[link removed]] . Keep up the momentum, Carlos!
News to Watch: 2024 Anti-LGBTQ Bills
Unfortunately, it looks like there will be another huge wave of anti-LGBTQ bills in 2024. Missouri has announced 21 anti-LGBTQ bills during their pre-filing session [[link removed]] . We’ll be keeping a close eye on these bills – and any others – as the new year dawns.
