COMING UP: Congressman Kim’s 70th (!!) Town Hall

Congressman Kim will be hosting a telephone town hall ahead of the New Year on December 12th at 5 PM. He looks forward to hearing from neighbors, sharing updates from his recent work in Congress, and looking ahead to goals for the new year. The Congressman will also be joined by NJ 211 to discuss resources, information, and services available to New Jerseyans, focusing on assistance for the incoming winter months.

Talking Civics with Students in Hightstown

Today, Congressman Kim spoke with AP Government students at Hightstown High School. After sharing a little about his own path to Congress and passion for public service, the students asked great questions about issues they cared about, including civic engagement, college affordability, efforts to end corruption, and more.

We love hearing such informed and passionate questions from students who are obviously well-prepared to be active participants in our democracy!

Fighting for Affordable Reproductive Healthcare

Congressman Kim joined the Democratic Women’s Caucus and over 100 colleagues in urging that the FDA approved over-the-counter birth control pills be fully covered by insurance. This means coverage without cost-sharing and without a prescription, like other options.

The Congressman joined this letter to help make sure people have the simple, affordable, and accessible choices they deserve.

A Kimchi Day Celebration

In Washington this week, Congressman Kim joined the Museum of Korean American Heritage to celebrate work across our country to uplift Korean American culture. From diplomacy to Kimchi Day, we are committed to the US and Korea’s enduring alliance and being advocates for future generations.

On Wednesday, Congressman Kim, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman, and Congressman Pallone brought representatives from national and state agencies together to discuss internet accessibility and cyber safety best practices and resources.

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

Thursday, December 7th marked Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. We joined in honoring the 2,403 Americans who were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor and reflecting on a day that changed lives and the course of history. It is important that we always remember the servicemembers and civilians lost and honor our veterans for their service to our nation.
