Washington D.C. - Happy Hanukkah to everyone celebrating in Texas-24 and across America! I want to wish you love, light, and peace during this season.

On Tuesday, I joined my Ways and Means Colleagues for a closed-door session (which is legally required due to the sensitivity of the information) during which I voted to release 56 new pages of evidence about the Biden family's influence-peddling scheme and the preferential treatment of Hunter Biden. I'm grateful to the IRS whistleblowers who risked their careers to report wrongdoing.

We made public new evidence that debunks Joe Biden's repeated claims that he knew nothing about his son's business dealings. He even used alias email addresses to communicate with Hunter's business associates.

Later, I voted to strongly condemn antisemitism after Hamas' horrific attacks on Israel and her people. I'll always stand up to protect our Jewish communities and condemn hate.

On Wednesday, I was invited to testify before the House Committee on Homeland Security to share how the border crisis is affecting Texas. As you know, Texas is on the front line of Biden and Mayorkas' border disaster. I'm continuing my work to hold the Administration accountable for the disaster their policies created.

After, I joined the Ways and Means oversight subcommittee for a hearing on the threat posed by our massive national debt. We're working to rein in excessive spending and create a more affordable future for all Americans.

Later in the day, I joined my Ways and Means tax subcommittee colleagues for a hearing on the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. I'm working to advance pro-growth tax policies to increase prosperity for America's working families.

On Thursday, I voted for the DETERRENT Act, which will bring transparency and clarity to foreign gift reporting for colleges across America.

Then, I voted to stop President Biden's radical agenda to force Americans to drive electric vehicles. As the current administration continues to push restrictive regulations, I'm working to promote consumer choice and ensure America does not become reliant on China to comply with Biden's bad policy.

I was glad to help introduce legislation allowing Texas to do what Joe Biden refuses to: secure our border. I joined my fellow Texan, Rep. Cloud, as a cosponsor of the PATROL Act, which will enable Texas to continue to build our floating buoy barrier at the border. You can click here to read more about this critical legislation.

On Thursday, I voted to censure Jamaal Bowman for illegally pulling a Capitol fire alarm.

After, I voted to nullify Biden's radical student loan "forgiveness" scheme which will force taxpayers -- even those who did not attend college -- to foot a $559 billion bill. President Biden's proposal is one of the most expensive regulations in our history and will exacerbate the issue of college affordability, leading to more expensive tuition rates.

Texas-24 Work of the Week

I’m grateful I could represent North Texas’ perspective on the border crisis at the House Committee on Homeland Security this week. I will continue to hold Secretary Mayorkas and President Biden accountable for their destructive policies, which have created a humanitarian and national security disaster.

Texas-24 Hometown Hero

This week’s Texas-24 Hometown Hero is our very own Fort Worth Police Department! They continued their tradition of helping North Texas families in need by distributing 600 turkeys for Thanksgiving. I’d like to thank the Fort Worth Police for all they do to protect and serve our communities.
