This weekend, the U.S.’s Congressional delegation will arrive in Dubai for COP28.
This should be an opportunity for the U.S. to share and celebrate its climate policy progress with the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Instead, House Republicans have packed the delegation full of climate-denying members who will treat this as a chance to celebrate fossil fuels in fossil fuel country.
The IRA has made the U.S. a leader in clean energy manufacturing, but instead of highlighting this work at the climate summit, House Republicans refused to invite SEEC’s top climate advocates to the delegation.
Thanks to your help in 2022, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 118th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future.
