You made our presidential campaign possible, and together, our voice was heard!
Kathryn and I launched our campaign on June 7th with the belief that we could help unite this nation with strong leadership and our core values of gratitude, curiosity, humility, and courage. We had a clear-eyed mission: bring a business leader and proven governor’s voice to the fight for the best of America.
We are a nation built on freedom, liberty, and personal responsibility. A nation where neighbors help neighbors and innovation, not regulation, lifts us all to reach our highest potential. Having spent a lifetime building trust as a leader – from our family’s grain elevator business to Great Plains Software to governing the state of North Dakota – I believe for America to heal and democracy to prosper, we need to re-establish trust.
It was not an easy decision to suspend our campaign—certainly not one we took lightly.
We sincerely appreciate the tens of thousands of donors and supporters, like you, who have encouraged us with their presence, notes, prayers, and volunteerism. Along this journey, in community after community, we witnessed the best that America has to offer.
We will always remain committed to fighting for the people who make our nation so exceptional.
