Dear Friend,
I was born and raised right here in North Texas and I’ve seen our region change dramatically. We need infrastructure solutions to help folks get around and to further connect our economy with other economies in Texas and throughout the South. As a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I’ve been working to reduce congestion and improve public transportation. That’s why I’m proud to announce that the Dallas to Houston High Speed rail project and the I-20 Corridor Long-Distance Passenger Rail Project were each just awarded $500,000 from the Federal Railroad Administration, thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law I helped pass.
Would you like to see a high speed train connecting Dallas and Houston?

I fought to bring these investments home to Texas because new rail services will create jobs, grow our economy, promote tourism and reduce traffic on our congested highways. These awards are a huge win for Texas. New rail services will help folks get around and connect our region to growing economic opportunities across the South. Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve been working with folks from both parties to move the Dallas to Houston high-speed rail project forward. This proposed corridor would connect Dallas and Houston with a new, dedicated high-speed passenger rail service including a stop in the Brazos Valley. Texas stands to benefit greatly from these rail projects and I’m so excited to see them move to the next phase.
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has already delivered over $14 billion to date to improve infrastructure across Texas, bringing a huge economic impact and bolstering our state’s long term economy. I will keep working to bring investments like these to our state.
Sincerely,
Colin Allred Member of Congress
