Seeking Candidates for Natural Resources Commission

The Natural Resources Commission serves in an advisory role to the City Council on matters pertaining to natural resources, sustainability, environmental and climate stewardship. The City is seeking candidates to fill a vacancy on the commission in 2024.

Toys for Teens

The Police Department and the Community Action Partnership (CAP) of Scott, Carver and Dakota County are collecting gifts for tweens and teens ages 10?18 this holiday season. Toys collected will help CAP offer a holiday shopping experience to teens experiencing homelessness and families in need.

New, unwrapped donations can be dropped off at the Police Department (1101 Victoria Curve) through Dec. 15. You can also choose a gift from this convenient?wish list.

Mayor for a Day Contest

What would our cities look like if kids were in charge? The Mayor for a Day Essay Contest is back to find out!

To enter, fourth, fifth, and sixth graders can answer the prompt, ?What would you do if you were mayor for a day?? for a chance to win $100 and recognition in Minnesota Cities magazine.

The deadline for submissions is Dec. 12.
