[link removed] [[link removed]] John, one year ago, Donald Trump posted this on his social media platform—and then he reposted this message last week:
[link removed] [[link removed]]I’ll translate that for you: Donald Trump called for the Constitution to be terminated because he didn’t like the results of the 2020 election. And then he doubled down.
For years now, CREW has been working to hold Trump accountable for his election denial and his actions before, during and after the insurrection.

Trump continues to spread election misinformation and use increasingly violent and alarming rhetoric, encouraging his supporters to “take our nation back,” calling himself a “very proud election denier,” and labeling his opponents “vermin.”
Of course, Trump has expressed no regret for these comments, or for his call to terminate the Constitution. And here’s the thing John – many Republicans are staying silent, too.
In fact, out of the 336 GOP members of Congress and governors in office when Trump called to terminate the Constitution, only 36 have commented on it in the year since he posted that message. And many of them are even continuing to support his presidential campaign.
John, our democracy can’t survive a president who is willing to terminate our Constitution. And our democracy can’t survive a president who is willing to incite a violent insurrection to stay in power.
CREW will continue to fight to stop Trump from the ballot and to hold him accountable for his attacks on the Constitution. But continuing our work depends on your support.
