But Donald Trump has proposed sweeping cuts -- up to 91% -- to the Chesapeake Bay Program’s budget every year since he took office. Gutting this program, which is responsible for restoring, maintaining, and cleaning up the Bay, would threaten the ecosystem’s steady recovery from decades of exposure to toxic chemicals.
