John,
Today, I officially filed for re-election in North Carolina’s 4th Congressional District.
It has been an honor to serve the people of the fourth district this year in Congress. When I ran for Congress last year, I did so after decades of public service and a deep commitment to my community. Thanks to your support, I became the first Black woman to represent North Carolina’s 4th Congressional District.
In the past year, I’ve worked to make sure my time in Congress is spent wisely.
- I currently have three voting rights bills in committee aimed at protecting our voting rights and defending our democracy.
- As a member of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, I’m working across the aisle to pass lifesaving gun violence prevention legislation.
- And every day, I’m working to protect reproductive freedom and ensure safe, legal, and accessible abortion services for all.
With dysfunction at an all-time high in Washington, it is more important than ever to have result-driven leaders in Congress. As I begin another year of campaigning, I’ll need as much support as possible to ensure I can keep my efforts strong in Congress and fend off Republican attacks on my campaign.
John, anything counts. Will you chip in $5, $10, $25, or whatever you can to my campaign today? My team has set an ambitious goal to raise $5,000 today, and together I know we can achieve it.

Always grateful for your support.
Onward,
Valerie
