Dear John,

Our public schools are the heart of our communities–where people of all
backgrounds come together to learn, work, and grow side by side. The
education that young people receive in these schools shapes how they see
the world and how they learn to thrive in a multi-racial democracy.

Because of this, the stakes are high for the people formally entrusted
with the care of our public schools—from educators to administrators to
school board members. They decide on and implement the policies,
budgets, and curriculum that can either make our public schools the best
they can be, or support the systems that limit and often criminalize
young people. They do this all while public education is under attack by
the far-right.

By giving today, you're making a commitment to the kinds of schools
young people deserve.

works closely with parents, educators, youth, and school board members
to help our public schools become dream-makers for our communities. We
get that making our schools stronger and fairer is part of a bigger
fight to protect all our public goods and spaces from the constant
threat of privatization and budget cuts.

It truly takes a village to nurture our children's growth and ensure
that our public schools champion inclusivity and equity, creating
opportunities for everyone. Only by working together at the local and
national levels can we combat the divisive politicization of public
education that aims to weaken our communities.

By giving today, you're supporting everyday people protecting public
education.

Our hope is that you join us. As we've seen time and time again, we know
that when we support and fight for honest, equitable, and fully-funded
public schools, we win.

With gratitude,

Anastasia Ordonez
