Nottingham's New Central Library
We are so proud of our amazing and dedicated staff who have worked tirelessly to open the new Nottingham Central Library.??
The new library, part of the Broad Marsh Car Park and Bus Station, opened its doors to the public on Tuesday 28 November, with over 2000 members of the public and invited guests passing through the doors.
*About our Library: *
Spread over three floors and fully accessible via lifts, will feature a high-quality children’s library with an Immersive storytelling room, extensive book collection and comfortable areas to sit and read. Other amenities will include:
* *Feature book walls *and shelving to display a large collection of books
* *Free Wi-Fi *and free access to computers
* *Printing *facilities
* A *café and the ground floor reception *area which can be converted into a* performance space*
* *Specialist and rare collections room *for local study materials
* *Immersive Room and Curiosity Lab *for special activities and school class visits
* Meeting rooms
* Exhibition space
* *Business & IP Centre *for the city
* *Events, regular activities and bookable tours. *

Gareth Peter: This Book is Full of Elves
Elves
Saturday 9 December, 10.30am.
Join local childre*n*’s author, Gareth Peters, as he reads his brand new Christmas book ‘This Book is Full of Elves.’ There will also be the opportunity to buy a book and get it signed by Gareth!??
The arrival of his own children inspired Gareth to begin writing children's books. Reading to them is a treasured pastime and his ambition is to inspire children to love reading. He now employs his understanding of rhyme and rhythm, crafted through years of song writing, to create stories that are a delight to read aloud. Gareth lives in Nottingham with his partner, two huskies and two beautiful adopted children.

Quite a Remarkable Christmas show

The fantastic Geoffrey Jumper and Mandy are back with their, 'Quite Remarkable Christmas Show'. Magical, musical interactive theatre, suitable for all ages.??
With plenty of festive fun and laughter, it is sure to be a real Christmas treat! This show will run for approximately one hour.
