John, I was asked this week about the growing number of Republicans members of Congress who plan to not seek re-election and the fact that some are citing a broken, dysfunctional system of governance. I hope those departing members who strive to see a Congress that prioritizes the American people will unite in their final days and speak out against those hindering progress. It would be beneficial for the future of America if they band together and push back against those unwilling to compromise and collaborate. In my opinion, part of the fundamental problem with Congress and those in Washington, D.C. right now is that the one thing that not nearly enough people do is to simply treat others with respect even when you disagree with them. This isn't a radical concept - in fact, it's absolutely essential for a functioning democracy! How else are our elected leaders going to find any compromise to get things done for the American people? |
John - do you agree? I'd love to hear what you think. |
I'm so appreciative for your ongoing support. Thank you! -John |
