Good morning,
I wanted to share a quick homesteading tip that has served me well - always plan your garden a season in advance! Take notes on what worked well and what didn’t, and use that to decide your crop rotation and layout for next year. It makes spring planting so much smoother.
If you are stuck, or looking for ideas, check out our "How to Start Homesteading Guide" that includes a lot of ideas and plans to get started.
I also came across some homesteading articles I thought you might find interesting:
Modern Homesteading Seeing Resurgence Among Young People: As millennials reject consumerism, more are turning to self-sufficient living. Homesteading schools and workshops are seeing rising enrollment.
Forget Uber Eats. Modern-day homesteaders prefer to live off the land. The article explores the many different types of homesteaders and why they do it.
City Slickers Become Homesteaders: We became homesteaders now instead of waiting for retirement. We wanted to live our dream, even though our car is always dirty and it's 90 minutes to the nearest mall.
Warm regards,
Patrick
