I know it may not seem like it from all the fundraising emails we send, but here’s the truth: I hate asking for money. I was raised to know that you don’t ask for money–you earn it. But when it comes to politics, fundraising can mean the difference between winning and losing–especially for a grassroots campaign like ours.

The stakes in the upcoming election could not be higher. Democracy is on the ballot. Freedom is on the ballot. Workers’ rights are on the ballot. Social Security and Medicare are on the ballot. It’s all on the line.

For us to win, we need to hire staff, buy yard signs, run ads, and so much more. Campaign costs add up fast! And since we’re running in such a competitive battleground race, the GOP is flooding our district with dark money to protect this seat. But unlike my opponent, I don’t take a penny from corporate PACs.

And that’s where you come in, John. Instead of taking a few big checks from corporate PACs, I’m relying on everyday folks like you to support our campaign because I’m running to represent you in Congress, not the special interests.
