Last weekend, I celebrated International Women's Day by celebrating all of the women making a change in this world. In 2018, we elected more women to Congress than ever before, including my good friend and colleague from Kansas, Rep. Sharice Davids.

I'm dedicated to supporting women, uplifting women, and electing more women to all levels of office.

I'm honored to have strong women leading my organization and my campaign team is currently 100% #poweredbywomen. As Chair of one of the oldest committees in Congress, the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I was humbled to appoint the first ever woman Chief of Staff to the committee in our nation's history.

International Women's Day is a time to recognize that we must achieve equality for women. I'm dedicated to defending a woman's right to choose, and I am proud to be the only candidate in my race endorsed by both Planned Parenthood PAC and NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon.

I will continue to fight for paid family leave, to close the gender wage gap, and to always stand against sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace. I'm proud to have authored the Stop Sexual Assault and Harassment in Transportation Act to improve safety and ensure accountability for transportation workers and the traveling public.

Join me today (and every day) in celebrating women and honoring their contributions to history, endurance against hate and bigotry, and strength to keep us moving to a better future.
