Chag Sameach, friends! I wish you all a very happy Hanukkah.

I’ve been reflecting on the importance of my Jewish faith and the bond I share with the Jewish community, and this Hanukkah I wanted to take a moment to share a little bit about how my faith has shaped my life.

My Jewish faith was one of the core reasons I decided to enter public service. Judaism is grounded in a commitment to fighting for those who have been left behind. The story of Passover, specifically, embedded in me the importance of fighting for justice, fairness, and freedom from a young age – and when the opportunity arose to run for Congress, I felt called to step up for Southwest Ohio.

That’s why I chose this work: To answer the call to create a more free, just, and fair community for our children. To ensure every family has what it needs to thrive.

My Judaism is a big part of my life, and this Hanukkah, I feel especially grateful for my faith and the beautiful community it gives me.
