How Churches are Responding to Coronavirus Concerns

By: Bruce Hausknecht

Some churches are keeping the usual Sunday morning practices of shaking hands, hugging and sharing of physical items like hymnals to a bare minimum while providing lots of hand sanitizer. Others are urging members to watch videos of sermons online rather than showing up in person. And the governor of Kentucky has even gone so far as to ask the state’s churches to consider closing this weekend.

How is your church responding the threat that the coronavirus poses?

New “1776 Project” Counters Disinformation of The New York Times’ “1619 Project”
By: Zachary Mettler

The New York Times launched their 1619 Project in 2019 with the goal of reframing American’s understanding of the founding of the United States. The Times contends that America didn’t begin with the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, but rather with the introduction of chattel slavery into the country in 1619.

The 1619 Project is The Times’ attempt to rewrite all American history through the lens of slavery and is systematically aimed at providing this new history to young citizens in public schools. According to one report, the curriculum that has been developed as a part of the Project is already in over 3,500 schools around the nation. Additionally, “the CEO of Chicago Public Schools has pledged to send every Chicago high school 200-400 copies of 1619 Project.”

On National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers, Commit to Praying for Abortionists
By: Brittany Raymer

Today is National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers, which means that there is an actual day to “celebrate” the abortionists responsible for killing approximately 60 million preborn babies. It’s like creating a day to celebrate all the genocidal instigators of the 20th century. The idea is utterly ridiculous and demeaning to the families that have been impacted by abortion throughout the country, but it’s also an opportunity to pray for those in the abortion industry.

The day started in memory of Dr. David Gunn — the first abortionist killed for his work in the United States during an anti-abortion protest on March 10, 1993. According to reports, the murderer shouted, “Don’t kill any more babies,” before shooting Gunn in the back. Although the act of abortion is reprehensible, killing an abortionist is wrong. Unfortunately, the man who committed the crime encouraged others down the same deadly path.

International Women’s Day Isn’t About Women Anymore

By: Brittany Raymer

On Sunday, millions of people around the world celebrated International Women’s Day. While the God-given role that women play in families and society should be celebrated, International Women’s Day is no longer about women.

According to the United Nations (UN), International Women’s Day “is when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.” This year, the UN tweeted that the day “is a time to challenge gender norms, empower each other, celebrate diversity, break stereotypes, reject the binary, mobilize, and take action.”

From Abortion to Marijuana to Gender Identity — Democrat-Controlled Virginia Legislature Turns Left
By: Jeff Johnston

For the first time in more than 25 years, Democrats took total control of the Virginia government, winning the House of Delegates, the Senate and the Governorship in the 2019 election.

Their wins gave them free reign to pass a boatload of legislation negatively affecting pre-born infants, religious freedom, and families. Here are some of those bills, which now go to Governor Northam for signing ...
