DES announces apparent successful bidders for IT project management contract

On Nov. 28, we notified all bidders on the new IT project management services contract of their bid status in Washington's Electronic Business Solutions (WEBS). Registered WEBS users can view all solicitation details and apparent successful bidders by searching for contract 14822.?

As part of our?commitment to supplier diversity in state procurement:?

• 44% of awards went to Washington small and certified veteran-owned businesses.
• 11% of awards went to OMWBE-certified businesses.?

New statewide contract

DES contracts with Henry Schein for sublocade

DES has new statewide contract 19022 for sublocade and other medical products with vendor with Henry Schein. It replaces contract 04818?for medical products, which expired Oct. 31.??

Expiring contract may lead to purchasing gap??

Contract 02915 for Equipment Rental expires Dec. 31. There will be a gap in contract coverage. Purchasers are encouraged to place orders before the expiration date.??

We are in the process of developing a new contract. We expect to award the contract in Spring 2024.??

Options for buying travel while we develop new contract?

Statewide contract 02219 for travel services expired Nov. 30. We heard from purchasers that vendors on the contract have been giving conflicting information about purchasing options.

Here are your options for procuring travel while we develop a new contract. We anticipate the new contract will be awarded in Spring 2024.?

• Statewide Contract 00919 - Fully Refundable Airfare:?This contract is awarded to Alaska Air.
• Statewide Contract 28623 - Travel Management Services: This is a national cooperative contract that purchasers can use until our new contract is in place.?
• Direct buy: If the statewide contracts above do not meet your needs, you can acquire travel from any vendor under the direct buy authority as long as it doesn?t exceed $30,000.? ??

Note regarding online portals

The expired contract did not require vendors to offer an online portal. If purchasers are using vendors? online portals, consider asking the vendor about continued use under one of the available procurement options or contact us for support.
