John,
45,000 Black lives are lost to smoking each year – mostly from menthol cigarettes. But that hasn’t stopped Big Tobacco from pulling out all the stops in a desperate attempt to protect their bottom line.
Here’s the scoop: After meeting with the tobacco industry and its army of lobbyists last month, the Biden Administration announced yesterday that they will delay issuing a final rule eliminating menthol cigarettes until next March – and perhaps much longer. This delay prioritizes politics and the profits of the tobacco industry over saving Black lives.
It’s unacceptable, but with your support, we can fight back.

Your support ensures that we have the resources to urge the Biden Administration to stand up to the tobacco industry and issue this lifesaving rule by the end of the year – as they previously promised.
It has already taken far too long to eliminate menthol cigarettes. The time to act is now.
