John,
Thanks to your surge of support, Bernie Sanders was successful at blocking $10 billion of unconditional aid to Israel’s extreme right-wing government!
This aid vote failed 49-51, and there is no doubt that your thousands of signatures and donations made a big difference.
However, this is far from the end of the debate, and allies of Netanyahu’s regime, like AIPAC, are going to use their near-unlimited resources to punish progressives for daring to call for an end to the civilian bombing in Gaza.
Bernie Sanders was the only non-Republican in the Senate to vote against unconditional aid and will be the target of enormous pressure to change his mind. Add your name here to thank Bernie for refusing to give billions in unconditional support to Netanyahu while he continues to kill innocent civilians in Gaza!
AIPAC and their allies are going to do whatever it takes to get Netayahu’s government unlimited aid, even attacking Jewish Senators like Bernie for daring to try to stop more kids from being murdered in Gaza.
They are going to flood Congress with lobbyists, make disingenuous attacks, and threaten to spend millions and millions to defeat any progressive who stands in their way.
You already made an enormous difference, but we can’t afford to stop now with so many innocent lives at stake. Will you join Our Revolution in thanking Bernie for voting to save lives in Gaza?
As Bernie said, Hamas is a terrorist group, and Israel has the right to defend its citizens after the horrific October 7th attacks. However, bombing innocent civilians will not keep Israel safe and will only increase the strength of Hamas terrorists.
Together, we are standing up for both the safety of Israelis and Palestinians by opposing unconditional aid. After all, an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
When we organize, we win.
