A study by the Human Rights Campaign showed that bans on gender-affirming care make 94% of respondents feel less safe as an LGBTQ+ person.

Yet even though these bans are unpopular and dangerous, Republican lawmakers passed 16 anti-LGBTQ+ bills this year.
