John,

Happy George Santos expulsion month.

While we know that Congress will be far better off without his temper tantrums and constant lying, I have to admit, losing Santos from Congress is going to have a big impact on my stump speech material…

So I’ll miss you, George. Thanks for giving me some good icebreaker content at our campaign events.

But, in all seriousness, there should be no place for the kind of deceit and corruption that self-serving politicians like George Santos and Ken Calvert have brought to Congress.

Unlike Santos, Calvert may not have made up an elaborate life story completely detached from reality, but he’s just as harmful to his constituents and the country. For five years in a row, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington ranked Calvert as one of the most corrupt members of Congress. And even Fox News did a seven-minute segment detailing Calvert abusing his influence in Congress to enrich himself.

Look John, I’m running to bring a public-service approach and a new generation of leadership to represent the Inland Empire and Coachella Valley. In Congress, I’ll support legislation to:
  • Ban members of Congress from trading stock;
  • Ban former members of Congress from becoming lobbyists;
  • End Citizens United and stop dark money from infiltrating our elections;
  • And more.
But, John, until we can flip this seat, and fight to stop the corrupting influence of big money in politics, we have to make sure that we are as competitive as possible in this election. And it’s going to be expensive – very expensive.

That’s why, even though I hate to keep asking, I’m politely requesting your $3 donation today. Can you chip in today to ensure we stay on track towards our end-of-year fundraising goals? I’m not taking a dime of corporate PAC money and am relying on grassroots supporters like you, John.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Ken Calvert may have a boatload of corrupt corporate special interests backing his campaign, but that’s okay because I have you instead.

Let’s win this thing.

Will Rollins
