It’s been another whirlwind of a year! As our attention shifts to lighting candles, giving gifts, baking cookies and decorating for the holidays, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the year behind us, look forward at the year ahead, and give you a heartfelt THANK YOU for your support.

Our community is central to everything we do, and none of this would be possible without you. WIN bridges the employment gap for autistic adults

Only one in five people with disabilities, including those with autism, are employed, despite having the skillset and desire to work. Early screening and diagnosis for a growing autistic community

This year, the CDC reported that 1 in 36 children was diagnosed with ASD in 2020. This shows that more people are getting the help they need, and access to a diagnosis is getting easier for people in our community. At Autism Speaks, we’re doing our part: Through our online screening questionnaire, the M-CHAT-R, we have helped nearly 342,000 parents in the past year alone learn about the early signs of autism and screen their children. A new tool brings autism data straight to your screen

Autism data can sometimes sound like another language, making it difficult for autistic people and their families to understand what services are available to them. Autism by the Numbers, our new platform developed in collaboration with the National Autism Data Center at Drexel University, breaks down state-by-state autism services for early diagnosis, healthcare costs, education, transition to adulthood and more, helping families and advocates stay informed. “Light Up the Blues” concert lights up LA for World Autism Month

This April, Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Willie Nelson and a host of other legendary musicians came together in their support of Autism Speaks. The event celebrated the autism community while helping fuel our work to provide services and supports for the needs of all autistic individuals, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan.
