I won’t BS ya -- I’m about to ask you for money. We’re coming up on our mid-month deadline and could use all the help we can get. But if you give me just a moment, I’ll explain why your support is so important right now.

Every three months, candidates for federal office have to report their fundraising details to the Federal Election Commission. It’s a way of ensuring transparency in our elections. And it’s also a big test of our campaign’s strength. The FEC report will show the amount of money we have raised and the number of people who have contributed to our campaign.

The end of March is the first FEC deadline of this all-important election year and we cannot afford to miss it. That’s why we’ve set our mid-month goal by Monday to keep us on track for the end of March.

But I’m looking at the numbers right now and we’re pretty far behind where we need to be. That’s not great news, so I’m turning to you:
