"What are we leading?" This question has been on my mind lately. Houston is grappling with rising crime, sex trafficking, and some of the worst streets in the country. It's time to ask ourselves: What direction is our city heading in?

I'm in a runoff with a candidate who, despite endorsements from city hall insiders and lobbyists, lacks the hands-on experience that our city desperately needs. She’s never run her own business, had to meet payroll, or faced any of the challenges our small businesses across District G face every day because of the busted streets, broken water mains, and high taxes.

The endorsements she has aren’t earned. They’re given. Why do you think that is? It’s not hard to guess.

This is the politics we're up against. We're not electing the best people; we're electing those who go along to get along. Who will keep the revolving door of City Hall turning and the same insiders winning at our expense.

But Houston deserves better. We deserve leaders who understand the challenges we face and have the experience to address them.

I'm not just looking forward to serving you; I'm ready to fight for you. To bring real, experienced leadership to City Hall. To make decisions that will positively impact our lives every day.

The choice is clear. Do we settle for more of the same, or do we choose a leader who truly understands and can effectively address the needs of our city?

I'm eager to serve and fight for you and all of Houston.
