Expect noise from West Campus drilling
Where: Around the maintenance soil shed on the West Capitol Campus, located behind the Executive Residence.
What's happening: Our crews are drilling five holes around the maintenance soil shed to test the soil and monitor groundwater levels to prepare for future construction.
Impact: Expect loud noise during drilling hours. Large machinery will be visible, and nearby parking spots will be closed during the work.
When: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday Dec. 7 to Friday, Dec. 8, and Monday, Dec. 11 to Tuesday, Dec. 12.
All work is weather dependent. The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services has contracted with GeoEngineers of Redmond, Washington for this effort.
