Hey John,
Yesterday I reached out to you for help meeting our daily FEC fundraising goal. I’m sorry to say, we missed our goal by a few hundred dollars, and I’m worried we are going to fall too far behind.
As a new campaign, nothing is more critical than hitting our first FEC filing goal and sending a strong message about our campaign’s strength. But right now, we’re off track and only have a couple weeks left.
I believe every challenge we face today in the South Sound offers an opportunity to build the future we want. I’m running for Congress to offer bold, honest leadership on issues like the climate emergency, fixing our broken healthcare system, and a fair economy that works for every family.
But if we can’t reach our fundraising goals, we’ll need to scale back critical campaign infrastructure and put our vision for the South Sound at risk.
To be very honest, I’m more in my element talking about the ins and outs of salmon migration and how a given healthcare policy will affect the South Sound than fundraising. But the reality is a grassroots campaign like ours is only as strong as its support from people like you -- people who care just as deeply about our future. If we can raise $1,200 more today, we’ll make up for yesterday’s shortfall and be back on pace for our FEC filing on the 31st.
This campaign exists because of you and your support. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to properly thank you, but I promise to keep working as hard as I can. It’s our future, and I’m ready to fight for it.
Best,
Phil
