Wes Moore for Maryland

John, let me tell you some things that have been on my mind.

When I was elected to office, my goal has always been to be the best public servant that I can be. To govern with humility and grace.

Governing means showing up and putting in the work. It means working in partnership regardless of political party. If we’re going to create policies that benefit everyone, we have to earn support from everyone, not just Democrats.

That’s how our campaign won with the most individual votes in the history of Maryland, and it’s how we’ve managed to pass all 10 of our bills in last year’s legislative session with bipartisan support.

Service to others is the foundation that any public servant should have. But right now, it seems that some of our elected officials prefer to play political games rather than do what it takes to find real solutions for Americans.

To govern you need to be willing to show up, have hard conversations, and really get to know the people across the street. When I look at today’s political divisiveness, it’s clear to me that you can’t claim to love our country if you hate half of the people in it.

I’m not here to play games because our decisions make a real impact on the lives of our community members. I take that responsibility very seriously.

Our work for a better Maryland and a better country is more critical than ever. That’s why today, I’m asking for your support. The upcoming statewide political fundraising freeze is around the corner, and I want to make sure my team and I are prepared for the fights ahead. Please add in a donation today so we can make sure we’re in a good spot before the freeze begins in January.
