TJ was diagnosed with cancer at just 6 years old. Suddenly, the creative boy who loved to build with blocks and ride his bicycle around the neighborhood had to travel to faraway doctor visits with his dad away from his mom and sister.

TJ’s world became a series of overnight stays, radiation treatments and separation from family members. But as an inquisitive child, he was always asking questions and stunned his doctors and his parents with how much he understood about his condition.

But even brave kids like TJ need an escape from the fear and stress of facing a critical illness. While he was in the hospital, he watched countless videos about outer space – a place he has always been fascinated by for its vastness and mystery – to help take his mind off what he was going through.
