Dear John,

For the past 35 years, WE ACT for Environmental Justice has grown from a group of activists fighting against the North River Sewage Treatment Plant polluting their community to a recognized leader in the Environmental Justice movement. We’ve achieved great successes, but with time running out to protect our communities from the worst impacts of climate change, we need to bring our work to the next level!
SUPPORT OUR WORK ([link removed])

Our movement urgently needs a place to call home. WE ACT is building the Environmental Justice Center in Historic Hamilton Heights. This new Center will serve as a home for:
* The Green Institute - Our workforce development program in which we prepare community jobseekers for careers in the green economy
* Youth Education - Our award-winning educational programming will help build the next generation of climate justice champions
* Leadership Development - Through working groups, citizen science, and advocacy tranings, we’ll prepare residents to lead their own campaigns
* Capacity Building - Drawing upon our wisdom and experience of 35 years of advocating and organizing for environmental justice, we’ll provide grassroots leaders with the knowledge and resources needed to successfully engage with decision-makers at all levels of government

This is no small task. Construction on our building has begun, but we need supporters like you to step up and make this dream possible. By supporting our Environmental Justice Center ([link removed]) , you can help mobilize the residents of low-income communities of color across the US to demand environmental justice.
