I'm thankful for my wife, Connie, our kids and grandkids, and our two rescue dogs – Franklin and Walter. I'm thankful for the people of Ohio, who have given me the honor of representing them in the Senate. And I'm thankful for you, friend, for joining me in this fight to protect the Dignity of Work and build a better future for all Americans.

But here's the deal: I'm up for reelection in 2024, and if it were up to Mitch McConnell, next year would be my last in the Senate. With our Democratic majority on the line, we can't let that happen.

I grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, a middle-class community made up of ironworkers, carpenters, autoworkers, and electricians. My parents taught me to work hard, be kind, and serve my community. So I've spent my life fighting for the Dignity of Work – the belief that hard work should pay off for everyone, no matter who you are, where you live, or what kind of work you do. 

But while I'm fighting for workers and families in the Senate, my GOP opponents are writing themselves million-dollar checks to try to buy this seat. Now, recent polls show this race is neck and neck.

With the election year rapidly approaching, we need to fight back now, or we could put this seat and our Senate majority in danger. Unlike my opponents, I'm running a people-powered campaign, so I'm asking every single member of this team to step up and help me win this race.
