Dear John,

It’s that time of year when we call on our supporters to, where possible, donate in support of our work ([link removed]) .

We don’t ask often, but it is important for the future of PAN UK that we do ask. As the only charity in the UK working solely to tackle the many problems caused by pesticides it is vital that we are able to continue our efforts to reduce the impact of these harmful chemicals on our health and the environment.

We are a small team with a huge task but we fight tirelessly for a healthier future for us all. We are careful with our funds and, as you can tell by this appeal, do not waste your donations on expensive marketing. 😊

We have had many wins this year and, thanks to our work and your support, people and wildlife in the UK and beyond are now better protected from these hazardous chemicals. But there is still so much to do and our opponents in the agrochemical industry are extremely well-resourced. If you can afford to, then please do consider donating to us so that we can go even further! ([link removed])

This year, to celebrate the launch of ‘Greener Cities: A guide to the plants on our pavement ([link removed]) ’, we’ve created a silly quiz which we hope will make you smile.

** Which kind of party pavement plant are you?

You get the party started and everyone wants to hang out with you, but you tend to overstay your welcome and are still partying long after the hosts have gone to bed.

You prefer to lurk in the kitchen at first, but with the right crowd you turn into a bit of a flirt and enjoy showing off your old breakdance moves on the dancefloor.

People either love you or hate you, but everyone knows you. You love to throw a party and go all-out prepping the food. You’ve got those lactose-intolerant, gluten-free vegetarians covered!

You’re already wearing Christmas jumpers in November and tinsel is up all year round. No expense is spared on outdoor decorations and the whole place is lit up like Blackpool Tower.

You never turn down a party invitation. You’re outgoing and love being the centre of attention but, despite your epic plans, you’re usually back home in bed by 10pm.

You spend a lot of time in the shadows, but if someone needs a server, someone on the decks, or help cleaning up, you’re first to volunteer. You’re pretty cool, if only more people noticed.

You spend most of the night party-hopping. You don’t know when to stop and after a few drinks often say things you regret, but you’re so good-looking you tend to get away with it all!

You have every intention of going to the party. You’ve put on your best outfit. But the sofa looks so comfy, there’s a new true crime docuseries on Netflix and it is awfully cold outside.

We also have some lovely, limited edition, organic apparel, designed by artist Anna Chapman Parker in our online shop ([link removed]) if you’d like to support us this way.
