As a proud actor and Chair of the Board of the Entertainment Community
Fund, I was so moved to see the outpouring of support from everyone on
Giving Tuesday!
To continue the good news, I am excited to announce that the Jean
& Albert Nerken Foundation and The Tow Foundation have generously
offered to match all gifts to the Fund up to $75,000!

TWICE the good. This opportunity is only available through December

The past few years have been deeply challenging for our community.
However, amid so much upheaval from the pandemic, changes in the
industry and the recent work stoppage, your support has brought
critical comfort, security and stability to thousands of people when
they needed it most.
Your support will help people like Osiris. He is a playwright, poet,
actor and teaching artist who survived a brain tumor, and then lost
his mother and his sister. Unfortunately, when the pandemic hit with
no work available, he also lost his home. But thanks to the generosity
and commitment of people like you, we were able to assist him with a
security deposit for a safe place to live, along with funds to pay his
rent until he could return to the career he loves.
Urgent requests for help from actors, dancers, camera operators,
make-up artists, screenwriters and so many others keep coming. People
like Osiris, dedicate their lives to the arts, and they are having
difficulties paying rent, buying groceries and even affording health
insurance. Without your support, the Fund wouldn't be able to
provide them with the vital safety net they need.
We expect to receive even more requests for help in 2024, and we need
your continued commitment to meet them. Please take advantage of this
