Hi,

Cigna and Humana are the fifth and sixth largest health insurance companies in America, totaling nearly $300 billion in revenue in 2023. And now, the two corporate giants want to become one health insurance behemoth.1

A select few giant corporations already control so much in the health care and health insurance industry. A Cigna-Humana merger of this size would inevitably hurt patients and care providers as corporate executives more and more emphasize profit over patient care.

Giant health care corporations are already abusing their massive power to the detriment of patients in need of care. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Department of Justice (DOJ) can’t let Cigna and Humana merge to become even more powerful!

Sign the petition: Urge the FTC and DOJ to halt runaway corporate consolidation. Stop this Cigna-Humana health insurance mega-merger!

Decades of consolidation among hospitals, doctors, and insurers is alarming because the more corporations dominate the market, the more UnitedHealth, CVS, and Cigna-Humana can raise prices and negatively impact patients.

Cigna-Humana would be just one of the next steps in this runaway corporate growth in the health care industry, as UnitedHealth also seeks to execute a $3.3 billion merger of its own — even though UnitedHealth is already the largest health care conglomerate in the country.2

Cigna and Humana’s individual level of market control already leads to higher prices and worse patient outcomes. In fact, audits of Medicare Advantage plans found that Cigna and Humana overcharged the federal government by millions of dollars.3

Corporate health care mergers are a threat to patients, workers, and the entire industry — and Cigna and Humana’s rumored attempt to merge will make this threat even more serious.

Add your name: Patients over corporate profits! Stop this Cigna-Humana health insurance mega-merger.

Thanks for taking action,
