Team: I want to make sure you saw Lavora’s email from earlier this week. Republicans are still trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act after the law has provided millions of Michiganders with healthcare coverage for more than a decade.

There’s no doubt that if Republicans win a majority in 2024, they will fulfill their long-held promise to gut the ACA and strip away affordable healthcare for millions of Americans. That’s why we need to prepare now.

As a critical 2024 battleground state, it’s up to us to turn out voters to the polls so we can elect Democrats up and down the ballot who will stand up and fight for health care. Are you with us, Team? If so, please make a contribution today so we have the resources to turn out voters in 2024! [[link removed]]

Thanks,

Christy Jensen
Executive Director

P.S. Lavora’s original email is below. Please read it if you haven’t already to see exactly what’s at stake next year and where Republicans stand on healthcare.

Team,

For more than 13 years, the Affordable Care Act has helped millions of Americans obtain health care insurance coverage and keep more money in their pockets. Republicans have fought against the ACA every step of the way and after 13 years, are still vowing to repeal this landmark legislation.

Health care is on the line in 2024. If we fail to defeat anti-healthcare Republicans at the ballot box, 1.3 million Michiganders would be at risk of losing their healthcare coverage.

Will you rush a contribution to the Michigan Democratic Party today so we’re prepared to get Democrats to the polls in numbers so large that Republicans don’t stand a chance at winning? [[link removed]]

Michigan has one open U.S. Senate seat on the ballot in 2024 and all 3 Republicans running want to repeal the ACA if they win.

Control of the U.S. Senate is labeled a toss-up in 2024, which means it’s up to us in Michigan to send a Democrat to the Senate chamber to protect the ACA.

Team, I’m counting on you to stand with the Michigan Democratic Party today by making a contribution. Your contribution today will fund our winning grassroots strategy to get Democrats to the polls in 2024 and help Michigan Democrats win — we can’t do it without your support! [[link removed]]
