You bring light against the darkness...

Dear John,

Hanukkah begins at sunset tonight.

When that darkness comes, Jews across the United States, in Israel and around the world will light candles in a tradition that goes back generation upon generation.

The candles we light during the holiday burn brightly as we unite to dispel the darkness of hatred, fear and intolerance. Each of us in the ADL community is a light to the world. We bring attention to the unwavering vision that antisemitism and hate have no place in our communities, in our schools or online.

It is so vital this year that we all shine a light. We need to be a beacon to show solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Israel and everyone else who needs our love and support in the face of hate.

Happy holidays to you and yours from ADL,
