Join FRC in championing faith, family, and freedom.

Dear John,

As we look forward to 2024 and its challenges, it's also a season of recognizing milestones.

This year, Family Research Council (FRC) marks 40 years of standing for faith, family, and freedom -- and it's been two decades that I've had the privilege of serving as FRC's president.

My wife, Lawana, likes to say that FRC is like an iceberg: much of what we do, most people don't have the opportunity to see. Over the years, we haven't just analyzed or observed key events.

Together, we have made history!

Here is one look behind-the-scenes... This fall, the key position of Speaker of the House was vacated. FRC held the line in prayer and public education for a House Speaker who would be a stalwart conservative grounded in religious freedom and founding principles.

Over 25 years ago, when I was serving in the Louisiana legislature, I met a young law student as I lectured at LSU's law school on the Covenant Marriage law I had just authored. The soon-to-be lawyer was eager to learn about public policy and Louisiana politics, something I knew a little about.

Shortly after becoming a lawyer, he had a malpractice abortion case that uncovered the horrific and unsanitary conditions inside a Louisiana abortion clinic. So, we worked together to craft and pass one of the nation's first laws imposing basic health regulations on abortion clinics.

Today, that man, Mike Johnson, holds the speaker's gavel and is poised to create change.

The months ahead will be pivotal for our freedoms, with history-making opportunities. Will you help FRC champion our freedoms and pro-family policies today?

Right now, generous FRC donors have pooled their resources for a $1 Million Year-End Challenge Grant to multiply your donation -- so your gift of $50 becomes $100, and $250 becomes $500! We must reach our $3.5 Million budget goal by December 31, in order to start the new year ready to educate and inspire Americans to action.

When you give your best gift today, you'll receive a free copy of our new Stand on the Word Journal as a token of our appreciation for your willingness to stand firm.

DOUBLE MY GIFT NOW

Year after year, I've seen that taking a stand for principles leads to history-making moments.

In Washington, our work is often done quietly through one-on-one conversations with policymakers, built on relationships of trust and respect, which are in short supply. I am grateful for FRC staff -- and supporters like you -- whose efforts enable that faithful influence to happen.

Oftentimes, today's great victories are built on the forgotten small stands of the past. Consider the issue of abortion and protecting precious lives in the womb. Last summer, we cheered when Roe v. Wade was overturned, a first step to further pro-life policies. How did it happen?

In October 2005, President George W. Bush nominated Harriet Miers to be seated on the U.S. Supreme Court. Many conservative groups fell in line with the White House and discouraged dissent. But a close reading of that judge's record revealed a weak position on the sanctity of life.

FRC opposed that middle-of-the-road "moderate" judge and mobilized other social conservatives to do the same. And that vocal opposition led President Bush to withdraw the nomination. He instead appointed Justice Samuel Alito to the Court.

Last year, when Roe v. Wade was finally overturned, it was Justice Alito who authored the Dobbs decision. Imagine what the outcome would've been without his voice!

The year ahead will present many history-making opportunities. Your support today is essential to ensure FRC has the resources to exercise influence and equip more Americans to stand for biblical truth in our confused and deceived culture.

Just think about the impact your generous gift today can make when doubled by the $1 Million Challenge Match!

STAND WITH FRC FOR TRUTH

During this critical election season, we will see the Left scheme to get short-term wins, perhaps a provocative news story in a swing state or an ugly tweet that will "go viral."

Such tactics may get attention for a day -- but FRC aims to focus on strategies that will truly make a difference in the culture long-term. Together, we can make history!

That's why, in the two decades I have served as president of FRC, one defining priority has been to resource pastors -- so they can mobilize their churches. Christians who are informed and committed to truth will have a lasting impact on our country. FRC continues to develop resources to help you in local advocacy -- at church, at your local school board, and in those sometimes-difficult conversations with loved ones.

For that reason, when you give today, you'll receive a free copy of our new Stand on the Word Journal to help you start the new year firmly rooted in God's Word and equipped for every opportunity.

Your timely year-end gift will help FRC to be positioned and ready to shine the light of truth -- in the halls of government, in the heartland, and as partners of pastors in local churches.

In briefly looking back, I see the evidence of God's goodness in so many ways. I am so grateful for the prayers and financial gifts you have sacrificially sown as an FRC partner. God bless you and your family.
