After hearing all of your
thoughts last week on the COVID-19 (coronavirus) crisis, I
launched a petition this week to call on Donald Trump to fire
Mike Pence as head of the COVID-19 response and put a real doctor
or scientist in charge.

After watching President Trump
tell downright lie after lie, I knew there was too much at stake
to keep him at the helm. He has clearly tried to put the stock
market and his own election before public health by telling
people that the virus will miraculously vanish in "the spring,"
or by saying that he has a “hunch” that official death rates are
lower than what scientists estimate, or by saying it will soon
just “go away."

That’s why I’m asking everyone to
add their name to my petition calling for a real doctor or
scientist to be put in charge of the response, and for Donald
Trump and Mike Pence to recuse themselves from this effort. Will
