Here’s what we know about the current mifepristone case, John:
Most recently, a federal court ruled that access to the abortion drug mifepristone must be restricted, pending further Supreme Court action.
To be clear: Mifepristone remains available for now. But this ruling to restrict is now going to go before the Supreme Court — the same Court that voted to overturn Roe v. Wade last year.
If the Court upholds this decision, mifepristone will no longer be available by mail, and will only be available in the first seven weeks of pregnancy — including in states where abortion remains legal.
