Hey, Kevin here, executive director of the DLGA. I’m about to hop on a plane back to D.C., but I wanted to get you this update first.
Yesterday, Democratic lt. governors from around the country met to discuss the DLGA’s 2024 priorities and elect a new board. Here’s what happened:
1️⃣ In a historic move, Minnesota Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan was chosen to serve as chair — she is the first Native woman to chair a national party organization!
2️⃣ We also identified multiple priority races for 2024, including holding Washington and Delaware, and the North Carolina Lt. Governor election where we have strong chances to elect Democrats and beat MAGA Republicans if we have the resources.
3️⃣ We took a hard look at the budget. Here’s the situation: to support our efforts to win these priority seats in Washington, Delaware, and North Carolina, we need to raise $10,000 online this month ahead of our huge End-of-Year Fundraising Deadline. That’s where we’re hoping you can help us out. Are you able to chip in $10 today to help us hit our goal and beat MAGA Republicans across the country?

Thanks for reading. I’m really excited about our chances to elect more Democrats in 2024, especially with Peggy as chair, and am thankful you’re on our team heading into the new year.
Sincerely,
Kevin Holst
Executive Director of the DLGA
